As our capabilities grew, we made the bold decision to rebrand from HD Designed to Seventynine Digital in 2016. The shift was a reflection of our evolution from small-scale web design to larger, more complex projects. We began taking on bigger website builds, attracting more significant clients, including start-ups, SMEs, and eventually, large state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and government departments. In 2017, Seventynine Digital entered a new chapter of its journey. We were subcontracted to design and build one of the largest SEO websites and intranets in South Africa, along with the associated marketing material. This milestone not only showcased our technical expertise but also introduced us to two key clients in the UK, marking our first international ventures. Our growing portfolio attracted two of the biggest insurance companies in South Africa, for whom we designed internal and marketing materials. The Beginning of Innovation: A Broader Vision
Seventynine Digital experienced a significant milestone in 2019 when we secured the highly coveted contract to design and construct the Government Pension Fund's website. This project was a defining moment for the company, as it was our largest and most complex project to date. Our success in building and maintaining the website led to additional contracts, including the development of the intranet and websites for two of their stakeholders. This ushered in a new phase of our business: the provision of website hosting services. By now, Seventynine Digital had grown its offering to include hosting packages, and our clientele expanded rapidly as we became the trusted partner for more businesses in need of reliable hosting solutions.
